Thompson Joins Hundreds at NGMA's Annual Conference

Greetings from Hershey, PA!  Editor/blogger Jerry Ashworth and I will be here for the next three days at the National Grants Management Association‘s annual conference, which is always one of the premiere events for grants management professionals.  There’s a great crowd in attendance, for the conference itself and the concurrent training program for the inaugural cohort of the Certified Grants Management Specialist certification.  The plenary speakers are top-notch, the sessions will feature the latest and greatest in best practices and grant-related policies, and everything smells like chocolate. What could be better?!

I’ll be posting daily highlights from the conference here on the blog.  If you prefer more real-time grants info in bite-sized (I believe the official Hershey term is “fun-size”) chunks, you can also follow me @ThompsonGrants on Twitter.  I’ll be using the hashtag #NGMAconf to denote anything that’s specific to the conference.  I’m looking forward to emceeing the conference’s speed-networking dinner tomorrow night and moderating a panel on Tuesday about preparing for a single audit.  And also, chocolate.

What would you like to hear about from the conference?  Let me know here or via Twitter and I’ll be happy to report back on it!
