OMB A-133 Compliance Supplement Watch: 54 Days and Counting

May 24, 2011 | By Adrianne Fielding | Post a Comment

No sign of the FY 2011 Circular A-133 Compliance Supplement.  Will the Office of Management and Budget release it by the end of the month, as our sources have said they’re now aiming for?  Or will we turn another page of the calendar before it rears its head and lets federal grantees and auditors get to work preparing for upcoming single audits?

Well, in the realm of things that we CAN control, we’ve surfaced a new avatar for our twitter account, @ThompsonGrants:

I like it.  What do you think?  By the way, we expect to start using our Twitter account more frequently for quick-hit, real-time updates on funding-related developments.  For example, that’s where we’re planning to break the news that the Compliance Supplement has been released, even before we put a post up here about it.  And sometimes there’s so much bubbling up (or so rapidly) that it really requires more immediacy than this blog (where, being mindful of your time, we try to limit ourselves to no more than one or two posts a day).  So if you don’t already follow us @ThompsonGrants, you may want to do so – and take a moment to admire the snazzy new avatar.

Also, if you’re in shouting distance of D.C. and looking to brush up on your understanding of internal audits, consider attending the National Grants Management Association’s monthly training luncheon tomorrow. Our resident grants management expert Jerry Ashworth and I hope to see you there!
