New A-133 Compliance Supplement: Got Comments or Questions?

June 14, 2011 | By Adrianne Fielding | Post a Comment

Still wading through the half a million words in the FY 2011 Circular A-133 Compliance Supplement that was published by the Office of Management and Budget on June 1? You certainly wouldn’t be the only one.

If you find yourself with questions about the newly released supplement — why it matters, how it’s used, what’s new in this year’s supplement, and how those changes will impact you as an auditee or auditor — you may want to participate in a July 28 audio conference, when grants management expert Bob Lloyd discusses what you need to know about the new supplement and why.  Bob will field questions from participants during an interactive Q&A portion of the audio conference.

Do you have feedback on the compliance supplement?  OMB is accepting written comments about it through October 31, 2011.  Comments may be emailed to Hai_M._Tran@omb.eop.gov using the subject line “A-133 Compliance Supplement – 2011″ and the comments themselves included both in the body of the email and as an attachment.  Comments can also be submitted online at www.regulations.gov by typing “A-133 Compliance Supplement – 2011″ (in quotes) in the Comment or Submission search box, clicking Go, and following the submission instructions.

What do you think about the Compliance Supplement so far?  Any surprises?  If you’re a grantee who’ll be subject to a single audit — are you finding this year’s supplement more, less or equally as helpful as ones in years past?
