(This post is excerpted from a story in the Oct. 3 issue of Local/State Funding Report.) The Department of Housing and Urban Development recently announced its policy requirements for fiscal year 2012 funding notices.

The Sept. 21 “Notice of HUD’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2012 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) Policy Requirements and General Section to HUD’s FY2012 NOFAs for Discretionary Programs” outlined the agency’s priorities and general grant requirements  for FY 2012.

The agency urged applicants to use the document in tandem with its strategic plan for FY 2010-2015, saying that the documents jointly “set forth a roadmap of actions to help transform communities through the implementation of HUD’s programs.”
