L/SFR Sneak Preview: Affordable Housing Organizations, Others Press Senate for Voucher Reform

(This post is excerpted from a story in the Oct. 10 issue of Local/State Funding Report.) A coalition of housing advocacy groups and other stakeholders recently sent a letter to the Senate urging them to take “swift action to strengthen the Housing Choice Voucher Program.”

The National Low Income Housing Coalition, National Affordable Management Association, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials and approximately 800 other organizations signed a letter that urged the Senate to reach an agreement with the House to move legislation on reforming the housing voucher system.
