Laptop-Work2-300x195Quick! Clear your schedules for Thursday afternoon (assuming you have that option). The Council on Federal Financial Reform and the Office of Management and Budget are hosting a two-hour webinar Oct. 2 starting at 1 p.m.

Talk about last minute! We just received word a few moments ago. And the official announcement is relatively short and sweet, with very few details about what will be discussed during the webinar. “We are looking forward to an excellent conversation!” is pretty much all OMB has to add.

The link to the live webinar is [This was changed on Wednesday. This initial link ( will not work.] It may be an opportunity for COFAR and OMB to address some of the frequently asked questions related to the guidance (compiled recently in a Frequently Asked Questions document on the COFAR website, which we have also included at the Grants Compliance Expert website) and perhaps accept some new questions from attendees.  We’ll have to wait and see.

The effective date of the uniform guidance is less than three months away now. We’re aware that there still are many grant recipients out there that have yet to read the uniform guidance, or even more astounding, are not aware of it at all! Time is running out. There are many changes coming to grants development, grants management and single audits under the new guidance so this webinar is an excellent opportunity to learn about it.

Also, Thompson is continuing to offer numerous webinars as well discussing aspects of grants management and how it is affected by the uniform guidance. Check us out here to find out more!

What do you hope to find out from the COFAR/OMB webinar? Let us know.
