Budgets and Performance One of the performance expectations in the uniform grant guidance is to align budget expenditures with program activities (§200.328). Nonfederal entities, therefore, must not only create reasonable and cost-effective budget requests for the entire project in a proposal submission, but once awarded, be able to correlate expenditures from the budget to actual project activities.
